CCKHS

The Central California Korean Historical Society, founded in 2003, is dedicated to the exploration, preservation and dissemination of historical data and information, sites, artifacts and structure from which one could understand and appreciate the history and heritage of the early 20th century Korean immigrants’ settlement in Central California farm communities. Historical locations, where one can trace the earliest Korean settlement in San Joaquin Valley, include Fresno, Hanford, Visalia, Reedley, Dinuba, Delano, Williams and Maxwell.

Hi everyone,
My name is Ed and I live in Fresno. I am researching the life experiences of people who lived in fishing villages on the east coast during the time of 1930 to 1965, especially around the Po'hang area. I would relish the opportunity to interview someone who lived in this part of Korea.

Hi Edward, Thanks for your interest in CCKHS. As for right now, the site (http://www.cckhs.org) and forum are still somewhat in development, but I will be sure to pass your request on to the CCKHS representatives. Thanks again and check back soon.

Thanks Again!

I understand that the site has launched but is still under development.
When will the site be completely stabled?

Is there a TV Drama that portrays the history of Korean set back in the earlier years (late 1800s to early 1900s)?
I saw a part of JuMong, is that based on a part of Korea's history?
